Santa Letter from Ruth Anne

Merry Christmas Santa!

I bet you are very busy there at the North Pole getting ready for Christmas so I won't take up too much of your time!

I only have one thing I want for Christmas. I want to be able to see my friend Mark. I love him very much. He's the best person I know and I've never even got to see him yet. It's a long way to his house from mine because he lives.

He's been so good to me this year even tho he doesn't have the easiest time of things in his own life. In fact we both have had kind of a rough time but we've always been there to listen and to help each other. It can be kind of sad tho because I can't even give him a hug for all wonderful things he's done for me.

The best way to accomplish this would be some sort of transportor you know? that way he could still take care of his brother but, be able to get away and come here whenever he needed a break. It's about time somebody took care of him! He's always looking out for everyone else.

I know it's maybe too much too expect but, it doesn't hurt to ask you. Santa, I've tried everything else and it's getting very very hard sometimes to never be able to see him, or to spend time or to see him smile! I'd do anything to see that!

I've been good trust me! and all i'm asking is for just this one thing! I'll leave out a little eggnog (spiked if you like) and an assortment of the best homemade cookies ever made.

Please reply Santa and let me know if you think you can make my wish come true. If you can I won't ask for another thing this year or the next or the next. All I want is to give Mark a hug in person.

One more thing tho. When you visit his house could you please make sure he is ok and then report back to me? He always says he is alright but, I think he maybe needs things I don't know about. Make a list for me please?

Dear Ruth Anne,

I am sorry to say that I cannot promise the delivery of people at Christmas. They are too big to fit into my bag and I would get in trouble with customs. So if you and Mark are still apart on Christmas Eve, think of him before you go to sleep. Then, what I will do is stop at his house to check on him and whisper to him in his sleep, "Ruth Anne misses you very much and she is sending you hugs and sweet sugar plum dreams this Christmas." This way, even though you are apart, you can be together in your dreams on Christmas Eve. I know it's not much, but it's the most an old man can do to bring your hearts together this Christmas. Have a very Merry Christmas.

P.S. Let me know if you hear of any progress on the teleporting invention you mentioned. Although I wouldn't want to put Rudolph out of a job, it could save me a lot of time on Christmas Eve!
